ORLANDO, FL – Margaret “Maggie” Josephine Holweg Miles passed away on January 17, 2022, in Melbourne, Florida after a long battle with cervical cancer. Maggie celebrated life of adventure and love and those who were fortunate to know her will remember her for her kindness, tenacity, and unforgettable laugh.
Maggie was born on June 17, 1959, in Croydon, England. The daughter of Leon and Wanda Holweg, she attended private school in South London until she graduated from secondary school.
Maggie met the love of her life, David Miles in 1977 and later wed in 1980. Maggie and David relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1981 and a few years later, they welcomed the birth of their first and only child, Paul. Maggie excelled at the mom role – she attended every one of Paul’s soccer and lacrosse games.
Maggie worked at WMFE as an Administrative Assistant for more than 10 years. In her time at WMFE, she was passionate about the station’s mission, connecting with the community, and helping others. She later worked at Bright House for more than 12 years, where she looked forward to meeting new people, sharing her favorite TV game shows, and exchanging a few laughs.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family: she is survived by the soulmate of nearly 40 years, David; son, Paul David (Noemy); granddaughter Eva Giselle; grandson Xavier Paul; brother-in-law Stephen (Patricia); niece Chelsea (David) Miles Firth; nephew Devon (Samantha) Miles; nephew Kevin Miles and his two children Holly and Lilly.
Maggie was preceded in passing by her parents, Leon and Wanda Holweg; sister Sue Holweg; mother-in-law, Iris Margaret Miles; father-in-law Ronald Sidney Miles; and brother-in-law Andrew Simon Miles.
