Margaret Josephine Hunt, 92, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 1:46 AM, Wednesday, July 20th, at her residence. Margaret was born in Stanford, KY on July 9, 1919, a daughter of the late Allie Mae (Siler) and Luther Johnson. On Dec. 19, 1934 she married Clarence Hunt who passed away in 1985. Margaret and her husband ran the Phillips 66 Station in Rising Sun for several years. She also worked for the Ritchie Egg Factory, Rising Sun Canning factory and Schenley Distillery. She loved to cook and listen to country music. Taking care of her family was her greatest joy. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family.

two daughters, Barbara (Bill) Gridley, of Rising Sun, IN; Daisy Klopp, of Rising Sun, IN;
grandchildren, Lois Ann Neff, Evon Sue (Scharr) Bovard, CaCinda (Douglas) Scott, Lisa (Donald) Turner, Gary G. Klopp and Carla (David) Dushney
great grandchildren; Eric & Clinton Bovard, Michael Conger, Dana Walton, Kindra & Daniel Turner, Zachary Klopp, Kaleb & Kelsey Klopp, Keaton Schwab, Kurtis, Kyle, & Kassidy Dushney
great great grandchildren; Sam Bovard, Allyna & Josh Spyker, Benjamin Wyatt Walton, Korbin Ray Murrill.
two sisters, Fannie Crawford, of Stanford, KY; Hazel (Ray) Wilder, of Crab Orchard, KY;
a brother, Raymond Johnson, of Crab Orchard, KY;
She’s also survived by her 2 great granddogs, Zoe & Nibbles

Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and by a daughter, Betty Brown Hunt and by a great great grandson Lucas Bovard.
