Margaret Huss, 82, died Tuesday morning, March 11, 2014 at Hamilton Communities in New Carlisle, Indiana. Margaret was born October 5, 1931 in Buchanan, Michigan to Carlton and Mildred (Morse) Renbarger. She grew up in Galien with her brother and all the Renbarger cousins. She graduated from Galien High School in 1949. Margaret married Robert Huss Sr on March 4, 1950 in Galien.
She cared for her home and raised her 4 children in the community she would always call home. Margaret and her family tended a large garden and she would oversee the canning of the produce. She also loved cooking, baking, sewing and knitting. She enjoyed reading and was a faithful member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glendora.
Margaret loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Robert (Sharon) Huss Jr. of Galien, Mildred (Joe) French of Buchanan and Marcia (Matthew) Strefling of Galien; grandchildren, Scott, Mathew, Heather, Robert, Rebecca and Megan; step grandchildren, Michael, Missy, Jennifer, Sara, Michael and Elizabeth; great grandchildren, Eva, Aiden, Madison, Emma, Bradley, Jimmie and another little great granddaughter on the way; step great grandchildren, Ethan, Kody, Jenna, Charles, Merrick and Natalee; her brother, Robert C. Renbarger of Colfax, Louisiana and her aunt Jean Hinman of Galien.
Margaret’s husband, Robert preceded her in death on July 30, 1996; and her son, Bruce Alan Huss preceded her in death on December 11, 2009.
