MARGARET GEORGIA GIANOPULOS GEMANIS
Margaret passed away peacefully in her sleep in Los Osos CA on 2/28/2018, at the age of 91.
Born in 1926, Margaret was kind, energetic, and cheerful all her life. She was born and grew up in Taft, married her true love, Marine Corps Captain George Gemanis, in 1946, and relocated to Fresno to start a family, raising two daughters, Valerie and Stacey. Gemanis Signs was successful, and Margaret and George (and the girls) often worked together on the larger jobs. Margaret prided herself in being a wonderful and ideal wife and wonderful she was! Her love extended to all the family and her dear friendsa�”her nieces and nephews adored her. All who met Margaret loved her.
Margaret and George had a vacation beach home for many years. It was an “open house” to family and friends, creating so many wonderful experiences and memories for all.
Their marriage was long and happy. But, Margaret did not slow down after his passing in 2005, after 58 years of marriage. She moved to Los Osos to be near her daughters.
Margaret had a dream life and she lived it well. She is survived by her daughters, Valerie and Stacey, four grandchildren, Shandeen, Tracy, Derek, and Erin, one great-granddaughter, Lindsay, and her dear brother, George.
