Margaret “Frances” Russell McCuin, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Novant Health Prince William Medical Center, Manassas, VA. She was born on December 10, 1931 in Del Rio, TN to the late Gaston D. and Helen Shetley Russell. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Eugene N. McCuin, her brothers: Charles Linville Russell, Samuel B. Russell, William “Willie” Russell, and Jackie Ray Russell. She is survived by her son, Alan D. McCuin and wife Hilde of Nokesville, VA; daughter, Vicki M. Rohs and husband Michael of Manassas, VA; the doting Mammaw to: Joshua D. McCuin and wife Charlena, Lynsi Kendrick and Katie Rohs and the great grandmother to the light of her eyes- Alyson Hadley McCuin and Addison R. Wilson. Also surviving, her sister and best friend Mary Esther Dillon of Manassas, Raymond “Cordell” Russell of The Plains, Gaston D. (G.D.) Russell, Jr., of Angier, N.C., and Barbara Nell Sheets of Virginia Beach, VA and numerous nieces and nephews. Also her cherished beloved aunt, Christine Jones of Colonial Beach, VA. Frances was the true example of the love of family and friends. She was the Mammaw to many. Her greatest claim to fame was that she babysat for over 40 years and touched and enriched the lives of numerous children. There was never a child she didn’t care about and love. She has left a legacy of love to so many.
