Margaret Flowers Baker, 94, of Ogden passed away peacefully at home on January 19, 2013. She was born April 11, 1918, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Walter Jesse and Camilla Uhlig Flowers.

She married Lloyd Stuart Baker on November 17, 1941, in Evanston, Wyoming. Their vows were later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She graduated from South High School in 1936. She worked at LDS Hospital until her marriage. They made Bountiful their home, later moving their young family to Ogden. She worked at Smitty’s Garden Supply and Grand Central (Fred Meyer), retiring in 1994.

She served in many callings in the LDS Church and many years as chorister. She enjoyed music, gardening, especially her roses, cooking, attending symphony and ballet, sewing, politics and traveling. Her greatest joy was her husband and children.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Stuart Baker; grandson, Roy Wimmer; brother, Clarence Flowers; sisters, Camilla Hadley and Effie Bourne.

Surviving her are her children, Roy Douglas Baker (Evelyn), San Diego, Judith Lynn Wimmer (Ace), Plain City, Jeanette Getz (Ron), Ogden, Margaret Ann Jones (Ron), Ogden, Lloyd Stuart Baker (Carrie), Layton, Richard Owen Baker (Cindy), Liberty, Maurreen B. Stevens (Phil), Ogden; sister, Gertrude Waterman (Floyd); brother, Eugene Flowers;27 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
