Margaret F. Devlin, 86, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born Aug. 4, 1928, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Manuel and Margaret Trotter Darush. She married Thomas Bertrand Devlin on June 21, 1947, in Jacksonville, and he preceded her in death on May 1, 1994.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Richard Devlin (companion Kathy Stone), Sally “Sara” Murphy (husband Charles), and Tony Devlin, all of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Amy Clayton (companion Lon) of Jacksonville, Cecilia Lowe of Concord, and Alan Devlin (wife Eva), Bruce Murphy (wife Mindy) and Brian Devlin (companion Sarah Tribble), all of Jacksonville; six great-grandchildren, Josh and Cassie Lowe, Hayley, Tieler and Brandon Murphy, and Chelsea Devlin; two sisters, Mary C. Myers of Jacksonville and Hannah Gray of Brighton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cecilia Jean; one sister, Dorothy White; and two brothers, Manuel “Junior” Darush (surviving wife Ruth of Springfield) and Myron Darush (surviving wife Betty of Scottville).

Mrs. Devlin was a member of Church of Our Saviour. She was also a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Women of the Moose, and VFW Auxiliary. Margaret enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved spending time with everyone.
