Margaret Elizabeth (Malcom) Goveia of Bonita Springs, FL passed away on August 21, 2014.

She was born March 15, 1916, to James Foster Malcom and Maggie Opal (White) Malcom in Lawrenceville, IL.

She moved to Shoals, IN in 1920, and graduated from high school there in 1933. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Indianapolis to attend business college and did secretarial work until 1954.

Margaret married Clarence Edward Goveia on June 15, 1954 at Clermont, IN. They moved to Paragon, IN where they owned and operated the Snooze Motel and Trailer Park until 1978.

In 1978, Margaret and Clarence moved to Bonita Springs, FL. They formed a dance band known as the ‘Alley Cats,’ and entertained many years in the area. She taught and encouraged many who desired to learn the keyboard.

She leaves many friends at Imperial Bonita Estates, where she resided. Margaret was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 303 and VFW post 4254.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence; nephew, Robert J. (Susan) Malcom; and niece, Carol Sue San Juan of Indianapolis; stepsons, Donnie (Doris) of Phoenix, AZ, and Larry Goveia of Seattle; brothers-in-law, Ross (Janella) Goveia of San Antonio, and Donald (Lorraine) of Peoria, IL; step-grandson, Joey (Julia) Goveia of Mesa, AZ, and their children, Trevor, Dylan, Amanda, and Grace.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Lewis Malcom.
