Margaret Elizabeth, (Neitzel) DeCourcy also known as “Blondie,” Mom and Marge. 80 years old born November 13, 1941, at 1321 Webster St. in Bay City, MI and passed March 31, 2022, in Sharpsburg, GA. She was predeceased by her parents Dorothy (Lehmann) Neitzel and Joseph Neitzel, her brothers Richard and Gerrold Neitzel and her son Richard Alden DeCourcy. Surviving family includes her sisters Pat Bladecki and Maureen Chlebowski, her sons Mark DeCourcy and his partner Amy Hennessy and Ken DeCourcy and his wife Susan. She had eight grandchildren, Rich DeCourcy, Natasha Vaughn, Zack DeCourcy, Danielle Rietz, Meagan DeCourcy, Lauren DeCourcy, Lucas DeCourcy and Lakin DeCourcy and nine great grandchildren.
Mom left Bay City at age 18 and moved to Washington DC where she worked for the Bureau of Ships and Docks after taking the Civil Service Exam. She was a homemaker of three boys and a Registered Nurse in Columbia, MD until she retired in Bay City to family and friends. Mom loved the NFL and always cheered for her Washington Redskins. She was also an avid photographer and gardener who loved her orchids. When younger, she hunted morel mushrooms and took her boys camping. Mom loved watching the tall ships sail in the Saginaw River and Bay City fireworks. She had a strong and gracious heart and loved to impart her words of wisdom.
