Margaret R. “Peg” Clay, 98, of Quakertown, died Monday July 26 in Belle Haven Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late John R. Clay. Born in Perkasie, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Elizabeth C. (Reinbold) Harr. She worked as a sewing machine operator for the former David Crystal Co., for over 10 years before retiring and the former Imrod Clothing Mfg, Quakertown for over 15 years. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Quakertown where she was active with the Ladies Workshop. Peg was also a member of the QFC #1 Auxiliary, Quakertown Senior Citizens, and was Past Regent Order of Eastern Star. She volunteered at Quakertown Community Hospital for many years. Surviving: daughter, Patricia “Patty” Trauger of Quakertown; grandchildren, Paul “Randy” Trauger, Sherri Brendle; great-granddaughter, Kyra. She was predeceased by son-in-law, Paul John Trauger.
