Margaret Bonny Yankauer 80, of Ramsey, NJ succumbed peacefully to cancer on January 15, 2016 with her sons by her side.
Ms. Yankauer was born on April 12, 1935 in New York City to Eva (Slifka) and Leonard Berger. She attended Bronx High School of Science and Smith College.
Known to her family and friends as Bonny, she was an expert collector and purveyor of fine vintage costume jewelry such as Trifari, Haskel, and Hollycraft. She was a frequent exhibiter at the Triple Pier antique show in Manhattan and was sought out by a wide range of domestic and international buyers from Europe and Asia.
Her former husband, Theodore Yankauer III, preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Jeff Yankauer and his partner Elaina Caola; son Stephen Yankauer; daughter-in-law Rachel Schnoll and her three beloved grandchildren Sarah, Theodore and Benjamin Yankauer. She is also survived by her partner and dear friend Dr. Jack Block with whom she shared the last years of her life.
