Margaret Bernice Keller was born July 11, 1937 in Pine Ridge, SD to John Paul Heeney and Emma Lea Smith. Her family moved to Nampa in the early 1950s where she met the love of her life, Francis Keller. They were married in November 1961 and were blessed with four children over the years. Bernice and Frank were married for 43 years before Frank passed away in 2005. Bernice was a homemaker which was no easy task given Frank’s passion for education and teaching which led to living in 5 different states. She was an incredibly strong woman who beat colon cancer and outlived scleraderma
