Woodson was born June 12, 1949 in Soso, Mississippi to Burnice Levi Jones, Sr. and Willie Lee Gambrell Jones. She was a current Pearl River County Election Commissioner and was a retired Real Estate Broker in Picayune, MS. She was of the Christian faith. She was a graduate of Taylorsville High School and served as Head Majorette in the Tartar Band. She was an assistant to U.S. Magistrate John Countiss in Jackson, MS.Margaret enjoyed many interests – gardening, antiques, and, above all, her family and friends. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved was preceded in death by her parents.Family members include her husband of 38 years, Sidney A. Woodson; one daughter, Sydney Aileen Woodson; her grandsons, Spencer Levi Davis, Staten Scott Jones; siblings, Polly J. Killough, Burnice (Mary Margaret) Jones, Jr., Joy Belle (Dr. Robert) May; and a host of extended family and family would like to thank all those involved in Margaret’s care, especially her friend and personal caregiver, Ms. Faye Alexander.
