Margaret A. Roosa, 91 years, of Winchester, IL died November 1, 2006 at the Passavant Hospital Transitional Care Unit in Jacksonville, IL.

She was born September 22, 1915 in Plainfield, IL; the daughter of Frank and Nettie Mae Latchaw Firestein. She married George E. Roosa on December 21, 1935 at the Presbyterian Church in Plainfield, IL and he preceded in death on May 15, 2000.

She is survived by two daughters, Georgia Wilson (husband, Albert) of Lynnville and Karol Brown (husband, Edward) of Winchester; six grandchildren, Nancy Brown (husband, Eric) of Winchester, Kenneth Wilson (wife, Cathy) of Murrayville, Andrew Wilson of Jacksonville, Kerri Day (husband, Kevin) of Winchester, Traci Lashmett (husband, Matt) of Winchester, and Scott Brown (wife, Patti) of Winchester; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, William, Charles, Albert, Clarence and George and three sisters, Gladys, Mae and Grace.

Mrs. Roosa attended Naperville, IL schools and moved to Winchester in 1937. She and her husband owned and operated Roosas Caf© in Winchester from 1943 to 1976. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Winchester and formerly served as a Brownie Scout Leader for several years.
