Mrs. Puetz was born July 25, 1925 in Streator to John and Anna (Pent) Obenhin. She graduated from Streator Township High School. Margaret married Ronald W. Puetz on June 10, 1947 at St. Anthony’s Chruch in Streator. She was a homemaker and also employed as a book keeper with Wickes Lumber. Margaret was a member at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Lostant and served on the Lostant School Board of Education for 22 years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching game shows, playing cards with her friends and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her three daughters, Marsha (Cyril) Moroni of Streator, Rhonda (Gary) Colmone of Peru and Diane (John) Wichmann of Caledonia; 14 grandchildren, LeAnn (Butch) Johnson, Amy (Cary) Naas, Angela (Ryan) Smith, Gina (Chris) White, John Kreiser, John Mertel, James (Stacy) Kreiser, Mark (Cara) Moroni, Emilie (Sean) Lyman, Erica (Jake) Griglione, Alyssa Wichmann, Luke Wichmann, Sarah (Darren) Fruit and Anna Wichmann; three step-grandchildren, Chris (Val) Colmone, Joseph (Julie) Colmone and Adam (Nicole) Colmone; 24 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, John Mertel; sister-in-law, Cheryl Puetz; brother-in-law, Glen Fredrickson and two nieces, Suzanne Kovalcik and Sharon Steffey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald; daughter, Gail Mertel and sister, Marion Padilla.
Pallbearers will be John Kreiser, John Eric Mertel, James Kreiser, Mark Moroni and Luke Wichmann.
