Margaret A. (Trautner) Niederhauser, 89, of Newington, died peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2015 in Newington surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, to Leo and Augusta (Meister) Trautner and moved to CT, living most of her life on Adelaide St. in Hartford. She was employed as a telephone operator for G. Fox & Co. for well over 20 years. Margaret is survived by her children: Peter F. Niederhauser and his wife, Patricia of Newington with whom she made her home; and Rosemary Cotoia and her husband, Anthony of Niantic, with whom she had previously made her home in Newington. She also leaves to mourn her granddaughter Loren Cotoia-Nelson, grandsons Ryan Cotoia, Daniel and Brian Niederhauser and her great-grandchildren: Cole, Ava and Christian. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Niederhauser, her beloved son, Robert E. Niederhauser; her brother, Leo Trautner and her sister Bertha Trautner. Margaret was blessed to have had the opportunity to live with all 4 of her grandchildren while they were growing up. She cherished every minute of it, but it was the kids who were truly blessed from having their Grandma/Oma help raise, nurture and spoil them! She was a kind and loving woman who loved reading a good book, her animals, crocheting family afghans, German food, John Wayne movies, handstitching a piece of fabric, and the Bible. Remember Margaret in your own way and know that she will rest in peace on her way Home to a kinder and gentler place.
