Margaret Hildebrand, a longtime resident of Comfort, passed away at a local assisted living facility in Kerrville, Texas on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the age of 96 years. Margaret was born on February 21, 1917 in Boerne, Texas the third of five children of Fritz and Katie Sauer Agold. On June 16, 1940, she married Claude Hildebrand at the Gaddis Methodist Church in Comfort, who precedes her in death. Margaret is also preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Erna Schladoer and Roma Schaefer and her two brothers, Edgar and Wilfred Agold. She is survived by her three children, Claude, Jr. and wife, Mary Ann Hildebrand of Comfort, Jessie Bohnert of Kerrville, and Karen and Michael Dolezal of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren, Jason Hildebrand of Comfort, Tara Bohnert of Austin, Shannon Bohnert of New York City, Scott Dolezal of Huntsville and Haley Thomas of Lake Oswego, Oregon; five great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kay Agold of Kerrville; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Dr. James Young and his staff, Pat and Sharon, for their many years of care of their mother, the staff from Peterson Hospice and the wonderful staff at Alpine Terrace Assisted Living.
