Margaret A. Chambers Hazel, 77, Anderson, died July 15, 2003 at Millers Merry Manor-Chesterfield after an extended illness.
She was born May 29, 1926 in Edwardsport, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. She lived in this area since 1955. She retired from Sears & Roebuck Retail Store after 25 years of service and had also worked at Sam’s Club in Indianapolis.
She was a graduate of Edwardsport High School. She was a member of Columbus Avenue Church of Christ. She and her companion ”Boots” enjoyed volunteering with Pet a Pal.
She is survived by her Four Children: Glen A. & wife Jan Hazel of Alexandria. Mary Anne & husband David Newton of Trafalger. Dinah & husband Greg Oldham of Pendleton. Jane & husband Charles Kotterman of Fishers. Grandchildren: Catherine Newton Armstrong, David Newton, Scott Oldham, Jennifer Oldham Hannah, Salena Hazel, Benjamin Hazel, Natalie, Jason and Max Kotterman. Great Grandchildren: James, Melissa & Elizabeth Armstrong, Alexis, Paiton & Tori Oldham, Robert, Kevin & Adam Russell Newton. Several Nieces & Nephews. Special Friend: Her beloved dog, Boots.
She was preceded by her Husband of 46 years: Russell L. Hazel on August 10, 1994. Parents: Smiley Albert & Delphia Mundy Chambers. Sisters: Alice Shannon & Retta Miller.
