She passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk.

Margadine Opal Schultz was born April 13, 1924 to Clarence and Mata (Carstens) Boje in Norfolk, Nebraska.

She attended school (K thru 11th grade) in the Norfolk Public School Systems, then graduated in 1942 from Pierce High School in Pierce, Nebraska.

On August 2, 1942, Margadine married Evans G. Meier, of Pierce, at Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce. Margadine and Evans were blessed with four children, Sandra Sue, Gary Evans, Mindy Rae, and Rickey Lee.

She was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk on April 14, 1946.

The family moved numerous places while Evans served in the United States Army Infantry, eventually settling in Norfolk until 1961 when they moved to Valentine, Nebraska until 1968.

Margadine became a widow at the age of 40, when Evans passed away on April 4, 1965 in Ft. Collins, CO as the result of a car accident.

She worked at the Cherry County Assessor’s office from 1963 to 1968. Briefly, Margadine worked at Mode O’Day from 1968 to 1969. Then in July of 1969, she began work as a pharmacy technician at the Norfolk Regional Center until 1977.

Margadine married Delmont Schultz on May 15, 1975.

Margadine is survived by her children Gary (Rachel) Meier, Mindy (Tom) Mullins and Rickey Meier, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Evans and Delmont and daughter Sandra.
