Mareta L. Bell, age 84, of Oak Hill, passed away June 27, 2013 at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler’s Edgewater Care Center after a month-long health struggle.
Born in McAllen, Texas, Mrs. Bell was adopted by Marvin and Creta Montgomery, who lived in Canton, Kansas, where she resided throughout her youth. She worked for Baldwin Piano and Organ Company for over 40 years, first as a sales representative in Wichita, Kansas, Orlando, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia, then in Chicago at their factory store. Mrs.
Survivors include her son, Mikal R. Bell and his partner, Betty Bell of Oak Hill; her daughter, Mareta Lee Bell of Santa Fe, New Mexico; long-time companion, Daniel Jacoby IV and his son and daughter, Dan Jacoby V and Karen Bradway; and 4 grandchildren, Mike Bell II, and Shana, Laura, and Abby Friesmuth.
