Mr. Marese Maness, 59, of Charlotte, was called home by our Heavenly Father, on Sunday, October 30, 2022. 

Marese was born March 31, 1963, in Asheboro, North Carolina, to the late Wendell Maness and Ernestine Reives Maness.  

Marese was lovingly known as Sputter-bug, Big Moe, and Moose to his family and friends.  Marese attended North Moore High School in Robbins, NC where he played on the football team.  He worked for Luck’s Beans, A-1 Janitorial, Myers Park United Methodist Church, A-Plus Towing, Southern Star Towing & Recovery.   For 25 plus years, Marese was dedicated to A.R.T. (Action Recovery & Transport).  He loved riding motorcycles, going to the beach, fishing, riding horses and most of all he loved his family and friends.  Marese had a great heart of gold and would do whatever he could to put a smile on anybody’s face. 

Those left to cherish precious memories include Marese’s wife of 37 and a half years, Richshala Maness of Charlotte, NC; and his mother Ernestine Maness of Robbins, NC.  His devoted children Monique Cagle, Alleis Maness, Alleia Maness, Marese T. Maness, Marisa Maness, Damien Juarez, and Santario Pratt all of Charlotte, NC. His brothers:  Wendell Maness, Aaron Maness, Kenneth Maness all of Robbins, NC. 

Marese leaves 10 precious grandchildren:  Alaysha Hernandez, Juan Hernandez, Jasmyne Tanner, Addie Maness, Abigail Maness, Allenia Maness, Amethyst Maness, Thomas Maness, Trenton Maness, Selena Juarez. Two treasured great-grandchildren: Lai’lani Justice and J’remiah Gillis. He will be deeply missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and in-laws.
