GRANGEVILLE: Marea L. Burkenbine, 57 of Grangeville passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was born June 1, 1959 in Grangeville, Idaho to Harold Schnider and Aldean Still.
Marea graduated from Grangeville High school in 1977
Marea met the love of her life John Burkenbine in 1976, she chased him, luckily he was smart enough to let her catch him. And they spent every moment after that making memories, taking care of each other, and starting to build a life together, they had 3 of children, Rachel Brady , Nick Burkenbine, Brian Burkenbine.
Marea worked for Sullivan shuttle, Grangeville High school, Baby sitting at home. She loved to read, she enjoyed doing shuttles. She often worked at the school games in the ticket booth, and enjoyed meeting people and making new friends.
She enjoyed being with her family, it didn’t matter what we were doing as long as we were together. She loved watching tennis, and while her son Brain was in high school she went to literally every one of his tennis matches to cheer him on and giver her love and support. She also baked goodies for all of his teammates on a regular basis. She absolutely loved kids. She spent many years of her life being a devoted babysitter. And had a special bond with each one of them.
She loved her family more than anything on this earth. She was a loving caring faithful wife. She cooked, cleaned, clothed, and loved, every single day. and she did these and so many more for her family, not because she had to, but because she loved to. She spent many of her early years getting up long before dawn to make lunch for John. She did the same for her kids every single day before school, and she often slipped sweet notes in for them. Being a mother was truly one of her greatest joys. She was so supportive and always so proud of her family. She never missed an opportunity to express her love for her family. She did many thoughtful things for so many people through her life. She loved the feeling of being able to do something nice for someone. Even if she didn’t know you, if there was a way she could help you, she was going to do just that. She was an excellent listener, she never judged. She just leant an ear, and some advice if she had it. She was always baking and loved surprising people with goodies. She always put others before herself. She was always there for her family. She loved keeping a beautiful home, she enjoyed going camping with family and going on adventures with her Husband, but was always in a rush to get back to her home, and to see her kids, and her little dog Zoey. The love she poured into her family is beyond believable. She was gentle and kind and forgiving, and quick to laugh. She had sparkling blue eyes, and when she looked at you, you could just feel the love she held in her heart for you. She was such a special person and truly had the biggest heart. She will forever be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving husband John, children; Rachel, Nick, and Brian. Her mother Aldean Schnider. Sisters; Julie, Janet, and her twin sister Andrea. Brothers; Doug, Kenny, and mike. Many cousins and nieces and nephews, and everyone else that was like family to her.
