Marcus B. ”Chic” Lott, 81, Bradenton, died March 30, 2003 at Manatee Hospital – Bradenton, FL after passed away after a brief illness. He was born July 12, 1921 in Louisville, KY`, and resided in Bradenton, FL. A previous Anderson resident, he had lived in Bradenton, FL since 1989, and summered in Anderson. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1986 after 20 yrs of employment; previously he worked for the family business, Kollros & Sons Plastering and he also had been a custodian at Anderson. He served with the United States Navy in WWII aboard the USS Bache. He was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Anderson, UAW Local #662 in Anderson, George H. Hockett Post #127 in Anderson, and Madison County Voiture #510 40 & 8. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved fishing, camping and boating. Chic was always smiling and never met a stranger. He is survived by his survived by his wife, Betty Sylvester Lott of Bradenton, FL; 3 children, Don Lott of Anderson, Karen husband, Howard Sowers of Frankton, IN and Linda husband, Dale Gehrke of Anderson; 3 Sisters, Rita Davis of Anderson, Alma Fowler of Anderson and Florence Saunders of Okeechobee, FL; 4 grandchildren, Michael wife, Lisa Sowers of Frankton, Chris Sowers of Frankton, Brian Gehrke of Anderson and Amber husband, Jeremy Gephart of Pendleton; 4 great grandchildren, Andrew Sowers, Brandon Sowers, Natalie Sowers and Delaney Gephart; several nieces and nephews; along with several special brothers-in law and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his foster parents, Art & Eunice Kollros and Ida Kollros; a brother, Bud Kollros; and two sisters, Mary McManis and Gertrude Messmore.
