Marcia K. (Brown) Mitchener, age 67, of Fairmount, went to be with her Lord on July 15, 2015 at Eskenzi Hospital, Indianapolis.
Marcia was born in Marion on October 19, 1947 to the late Virgil Brown and the late Irene (Harris) Brown. She graduated from Marion High School in 1965. Marcia retired from Thompson Consumer Electronics in August 2002 where she was a color tester for 36 years. She attended Upland Christian Center.
On October 19, 2001, Marcia married Jerry Mitchener. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, driving her golf cart, and walking her dogs in the park. In addition to her husband, Jerry, she is survived by two sons, Terry (Shannon) Young, of Fairmount, and Kelly (Sara) Jenkins, of Indianapolis; two daughters, Angie (Bill) Grubb, of Gas City, and Jody Young Horsley, of Fairmount; step-son, Jay Mitchener, of Sweetser; three sisters, Dixie (Bill) Woodcock, of Marion, Doris (Bill) Joseph, of Van Buren, Cheryl (Roy) Young, of Upland; two brothers, Paul (Earlene) Brown, of Jonesboro, and Chuck (Kathy) Brown, of Marion; four sister-in-laws, Rita Brown, of Bulls Gap, Tenn., Billie Jean Brown Phelps, of Anderson, Judy (Jay) Buffington, of Matthews, and Joy (Bill) Hill, of Marion; brother-in-law, Richard (Jane) Mitchener, Vero Beach, Fla.; lifetime best friend, Betty Persinger, of Marion; seventeen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Marcia was preceded in death by three brothers Bill, Lester and Wendell Brown.
