Marcelle Nelson, age 87, passed away on Wed., Oct. 28, 2009. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 21, 1921, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Woods. A resident of Boerne for 5 years, she had moved from San Antonio where she was a resident for over 40 years. Marcelle had retired from the OSI with the Dept. of Defense after 20 years of service. Preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Ms. Nelson is survived by her daughter, Jackie Dice of Pennsylvania; son, John A. Nelson, Jr. and his wife, Lupe of Boerne; granddaughters, Kim Leeder and her husband, Floyd, Mandy Dice, Carrie Orndorff and her husband, Michael, Genevieve Dice, Jenifer Chapman, and Trish Campos; 7 Great Grandchildren.
