Marcella L. Crawford, 92 of Caldwell, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at a local hospital.
Marcella was born January 20, 1918 in Bixby, Oklahoma to John Monroe and Retta Jane Poynor. Marcella married Omar Crawford on July 20, 1975 and together they made their home in Caldwell.
Over the years, Marcella worked at Muggler’s Bakery, Burson’s Bakery, Glen L. Evans Fish Fly Company, VanLee’s Egg Farm and The Bonanza Store.
Marcella is survived by her nephew, Doug (Faye) McKay of Fremont, CA; a niece, Karen Ball (David Metoyer) of Las Vegas, NV; great nephews and niece, Duke (Melanie) McKay, of Gadsden, AL, Scott Marshall of Middleton, and Angela Marshall-Olson of Portland, OR; great-great nieces, Ashley and Kayla McKay of Gadsden, AL, and Samantha and Chloe Olson of Portland, OR; 2 stepchildren, Leon (Carole) Crawford of Tacoma, WA and Anita (John) Crawford-Merritt of New Castle, PA; and grandsons, Daniel Crawford of Tacoma, WA and Johnny Merritt of New York.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Goldie (Ted) Terry and Loris (Cyril) McKay; and her husband, Omar Crawford.
