Marcella Anne Gibbons of Cohasset, MA passed away on September 22, 2016. Most recently a resident of Sunrise of Cohasset, Mrs. Gibbons had previously lived in Walpole, MA for about 17 years. She was originally from Pontiac, MI and was the daughter of the late Milford A. Walker and Julia E. Walker. In 1958, she moved to New York City, where she met her husband (the late John M. Gibbons). The two were married in 1960 and moved to Maryland shortly thereafter.
Mrs. Gibbons had been an administrative assistant to the Dean of the Cornell Medical College, which was affiliated with New York Hospital. In later years, she was an administrative assistant to Dr. Harold Stewart, a cancer research scientist with the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. She most recently worked for the City of Rockville, from which she retired in 1993.

Mrs. Gibbons is survived by her daughter, Julia A. Gibbons, of Quincy, MA, and her son, John A. Gibbons and wife, Michele D. Gibbons, of Alexandria, VA.
