Marceline Joy Hicks, nee Oden, 84, of Lebanon, IL formerly of Panhandle, TX, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 in Shiloh, IL. Marceline was born April 20, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Panhandle, TX. Marceline retired as a school bus driver from Panhandle Independent School District. She enjoyed showing her artistic flair by creating oil paintings. She also enjoyed fishing and sewing. Marceline was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Eula Mae Oden, nee Morgan; and husband, Brace Hicks.
Marceline is survived by five children, Lynn (Terry) LeGate of Panhandle, TX, Tony Lee (Kerri Sue) Hicks of San Antonio, TX, Cheryl (Douglas) Peterson of Lebanon, IL, Terry (LeaAnn) Hicks of Weatherford, TX, Toby (Beth) Hicks of Clarendon, TX; one sister, Jean Billings; two brothers, Bobby Oden, Don Oden; nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
