Marcelene, the daughter of Edward and Madeline (Pancoast) Howell, was born on August 9, 1939 in Adel.
She is survived by her three children, Richard (Ashley) Schaper of Lucerne, Missouri, Diane Baugh of Urbandale, and Brenda Schaper of Newton; six grandchildren, Starr Schaper, Sherri (Matt) Pieffer, Shawn (Charity) Schaper, Kevin Schaper, Angela Baugh, and Karri Baugh; her five great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Howell; sister, Darlene Markwitz; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Schaper in 2002; a daughter, Linda, in infancy; four brothers; and one sister.
