Violet “Maradel” Page, age 82, of Boerne TX., went to be with the Lord on Sunday February 19, 2017. She was born in San Antonio, TX on February 7, 1935, the daughter of George M. Vance and Florence B. Heath Vance.
Maradel attended school in San Antonio and in Trinidad, where her stepfather was stationed. They eventually made ended up in Wetumpka, AL, where she met and married Richard. They were stationed at various locations around the world. Upon returning from the Service, Richard attended SWBTS, where Maradel was secretary to the dean of Men, Dr. Trozy Barker. Upon Graduation, Richard was called to West Germany for their first pastorate. After serving overseas, they returned to serve at several churches in Boerne. Since their third retirement, Maradel and Richard have been very active in various ministries in the area and around the world where they continued to develop lifelong friendships. Maradel was involved in the Maranatha Choir and most recently was involved in Alzheimer’s Support Ministry at FBC Boerne. Maradel was passionate about her love for Christ and her family. She loved them well.
Maradel was preceded in death by her parents, George M. Vance and Florence B. Heath Vance Shaw; Three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard F. Page Sr.; her three children, Rick, Michelle, and James and their spouses; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and one brother.
