Mara L. Richards, 57, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014, at her home. She was born in East Liverpool on September 7, 1957, the daughter of the late Frank Gardner, and the late Patricia (Brewer) Gardner Gorby. Mara attended the Beaver Local Schools to the 10th grade. She worked for the Ventra Company in Salem for 7 years in the Paint Department. As a hobby, she enjoyed bingo. Her husband Richard Richards, whom she married September 28, 1986, preceded her in death April 30, 2013. Survivors include: 3 daughters, Ora Richards of Alliance, Sue Reynolds, and Chelsey Reynolds both of Salem; 4 sisters, Michelle Woodworth of Salem, Trena Jackson of Texas, Lisa Day and Charlene Thompson of Lisbon; 2 nieces, Carley and Shyla Woodworth of Salem, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Frank Gardner; her mother, Patricia (Brewer) Gardner Gorby; a brother, Frank B. Gardner; and her step- father, Chuck Gorby also preceded her in death.
