Manuelita L. Mascarenas, 89, of Brighton, Colorado passed away on March 29, 2019 peacefully in her home. She was born on October 20, 1929 in Rifle, Colorado to Francisco and Maria B. (Garcia) Gonzales. She attended schools in Fruita, Colorado. She married Selestino Mascarenas on February 17, 1945 in Fruita.
Manuelita was a Brighton resident since 1962. She was very active in her faith as a member of St.
Survivors include her daughters, Selestina (George) Candelario of Colorado Springs, CO, Eleanor (Serapio Jr.) Gaona of Brighton, CO; sons, Michael (Patricia) of Brighton, CO, John of Northglenn, CO and Gilbert (Catherine) of Commerce City, CO; sisters, Odelia Rivera of Northglenn, CO and Feloniz Morgas of Taos, NM; ten grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband Selestino in 1976; and two sons, Kenneth in 2002 and Ted in 2015.
