Manuel Mestas passed away on October 3, 2018 in Colorado Springs. Manuel was born on May 27, 1931 to Guadalupe and Cutilda Mestas in La Junta, Colorado.
On September 19, 1959 he married Margaret Lucero in La Junta, Colorado. They were married for 57 years until her passing on September 28, 2016.
Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters; Estella Archuleta and Cruz Werrick, two grandchildren; Samantha Mestas and Richard Crawford.
Manuel is survived by his sons; David Mestas Lucero (Lois) and Manuel Mestas (Sherri). He is also survived by his brothers; Philip Mestas and Jimmy Mestas, sisters; Priscilla Tapia and Mary Ellen Gonzales. Manuel has four grandchildren; Olivia Diaz, Sandra Gonzales, Sarah Mestas, and Julianna Mestas. There are also numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews in the extended Mestas family.
