Manuel Martinez
On May 27, 2016, our father, brother, grandfather, and friend was taken home to be with the Lord.
Manuel was born on January 1, 1953 to LeRoy and Jean Martinez in Ogden. He married Leann Read. They were later divorced, but through this union they had 3 beautiful children, Brandy, Brandon, and Brenna. He later married his companion of many years, Tina Contreras.
Manuel graduated from Ogden High and proudly served in the U.S. Army doing a tour in Vietnam. He retired from Hill AFB as an Aircraft Mechanic.
His pride and joys were his grandkids spending as much time as he could with them.
He loved BBQs and spending time with family. He also enjoyed watching movies and going to concerts with side trips to Wendover. As an avid Broncos fan he would always tease family about how good his team was and theirs wasn’t.
Manuel had a big heart and was not afraid to show his love.
He will truly be missed.
He is survived by his children: Brandy, Brandon and Brenna and many grandchildren; siblings: Linda (Paul) Sanchez, Susan (Simon) Trujillo, Jolene (Mario) Valencia, Charles (Sandy) Martinez, Jerry (Ellie) Martinez, Peggy (Ricky) Martinez and Vickie (Timmy) Ruiz, all of Ogden.
He was preceded in death by wife, Tina; father, LeRoy; mother, Jean; brothers, Danny, Anthony, Kelly and Michael.
