Manuel “Manny” Barreiro, 73, of Bloomington passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday December 6, 2017. Manny was born January 28, 1944 in Gary, Indiana and was the son of the late Daniel and Remedios (Fraiz) Barreiro.
Manny worked for many years as a manager for L.S. Ayers and also had his own clothing store downtown. He currently worked as a consultant for Morrison’s Appliances. He was a member of the Evangelical Community Church and was formerly a board member. He volunteered with the United Way and was previously involved with the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. Manny was very involved with his two daughters and their activities as they grew up.
Survivors include his wife Marsha Ann (Wall) Barreiro of Bloomington, daughter Mary (Jim) Masters of Louisville, KY and their children James, Andrew, Henry and Madeline.
Manny was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Jennifer Ann Barreiro and brother, Jay Barreiro.
