On early Friday morning, September 5, 2014, in Bunker Hill, West Virginia, one of God’s precious angels flew home.

Malik LaMont Griffith, son of the late James Griffith Sr. and Elder Mae Griffith-Roberts, was born November 16, 1969 in Newark, NJ.

Malik received his education at Essex Catholic High School for Boys, located in East Orange, NJ. He later joined the United States Navy where he received an Honorable Discharge.  He then furthered his education at Knoxville College in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Malik was employed by Ford Motor Company for 22 years.  He was loved by all of his co-workers who gave him the name “Showtime”, to know him was to love him!

Malik leaves to cherish his memories: his loving mother; a daughter, Charrie Shaniya Griffith; two sisters, Charrie LaShonda Griffith and Shonette Simpson; one brother, Jimmy Griffith, who proceeded him in death; two nieces, Lisa Griffith-Fleming and Stephanie Bradley; two nephews, Jaylen and Julian Simpson; two uncles, Robert Small and George Wilson; and a host of family and friends.
