On May 6, 2016 Malcom Winffel lost his life saving the life of a stranger.
Malcom “Mike” Winffel was born on June 3, 1970 in Lima, Peru to Julia Winffel and Alejandro Winffel. The family moved to the United States in 1981. Mike attended High Point High School and graduated from Magruder High School. Shortly after graduating he married Norma Winffel.
Mike and Norma have two children, Kayla and Brandon.
Malcom has left behind countless friends and loved ones and is survived by his wife, Norma, their children Kayla and Brandon. Beloved son of Alejandro and Julia; brother of Carlos Winffel (Cathie), Sam Winffel (Paola), Andy Winffel (Natalia) and Pilar Winffel (Kirby Davis);son-in-law of Santita and Mario Gomez; brother-in-law of George Gomez (Mary), Myrna Gustafson (Garth), Carlos Gomez (Sonia), Javier Gomez (Rosa); Uncle of Max Winffel, Alex Winffel, Erik Davis, Mark Davis, Abbi Winffel, Luke Davis, Jake Davis, Sebastian Winffel, Samantha Winffel, Axel Winffel, Alice Winffel, Katarina Gomez, Mark Gomez, Bryan Gomez, Kiara Gomez, Kristina Gomez, Karina Gomez, Kevin Gomez, Krystal Gomez, Brad Gustafson and Jack Gustafson.
Malcom loved the Dallas Cowboys but more than anything he loved to play soccer. He was affectionately known as “the wall.” Malcom was always laughing and joking around. He could always find the positive side in everything and no one ever saw him without a smile on his face. He made everyone around him laugh. He was without a doubt a light in his familys life and he will be missed more than words could ever say. Mike not only died a hero but lived as our Superhero.

El velorio serA¡ en Santa Rosa de Lima Iglesia CatA³lica, 11701 Clopper Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20878 el miAC.rcoles 11 de mayo, 2016, desde la 2:00 hasta las 4:00 pm y luego  desde las 6:00 hasta las 8:00 pm. La misa y el entierro se llevarA¡ a cabo el jueves 12 de mayo a las 10:00 am en la Iglesia Catolica Santa Rosa de Lima.
