Malcolm Ronald Stephens, 76, of Newnan, husband of Carol Jean Olson Stephens, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Born in Coweta County, December 10, 1940, he was a son of the late Malcolm Daniel and Imogene Hawk Stephens. A US Army Veteran, Mr. Stephens served for four years and was stationed in Turkey. He was retired after forty-five years of service from the William L. Bonnell Company. Mr. Stephens was a master gardener since 2007 and a member of the Coweta County’s Master Gardener’s.
Mr. Stephens was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of forty-six years are a son Daniel “Danny” Stephens; a daughter, Bonnie Stephens; daughter-in-law, Mary Stephens; and two grandchildren, Aric and Alex Stephens, all of Newnan; two sisters, Carolyn Neill and husband Joel of Newnan and Brenda Moulder and husband Bill of Palm Coast, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
