Malcolm Edward “Eddie” Thompson, 81, of Salisbury passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.
Born on April 11, 1940, he was the son of the late Gladys Hagy Thompson and Malcolm Jamison. Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving as a military police officer in Iceland. He retired from Celanese after 30 years of service and was a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle. He loved being with his family and going on trips with them.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step daughter, Evette Stiller.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jayne Phillips Thompson, whom he married on July 6, 1972; children, Carl Wilson of Granite Quarry, April Freeze (Alex) of Mooresville, and Malcolm Thompson, Jr. (Paula) of Rockwell; grandchildren, David Stiller, Chase Stiller, Caleb Wilson, Carleigh Wilson, Conner Wilson, Eli Freeze, Landry Freeze, Davis Freeze, Gavin Thompson, Zane Thompson, Sierra Thompson, and Peyton Thompson, and four great-grandchildren.
