Major Joseph R. Granger, U.S. Army Retired , 72, passed away at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA on July 1, 2015.
Joe was born and raised in Springfield but his careers took him to WA, OH, IL, NV, NH, GA, and FL.
Joe honorably served in the U.S. Army for 21 years, in a career spanning the ranks from private to major.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Raymond Granger, and a sister, Alice Davis.
He is survived by two brothers: Silas Granger of Frisco, TX and Gary Granger of Easton, PA; his children, Raymond Granger of Las Vegas NV, Mary Foster of Milan, Italy and Christine Granger of Manchester, NH; two beloved grandchildren: Elizabeth Foster and John Foster of Milan, Italy, and a son-in-law, COL Brian Foster, also of Milan, Italy.
