Majestic Hegger was born to the late Velvon & Iris Laurent on September 5, 1934 in Longbridge. She was the fifth child of eleven. Majestic and her siblings grew up in a home of simple and humble beginnings, filled with love and rich in spirituality, as her father was a Pastor. The importance of a personal relationship with the Lord was a cornerstone of the Laurent household.
Majestic was very hard and dedicated worker. She worked for the Rozas family for many years. She also worked for other families as a housekeeper. She was also a skilled hairdresser.
Majestic fought a good fight, kept the faith, and left an impressionable legacy of being a friend and she will always be remembered as her brother’s and her sister’s keeper. God, in his infinite wisdom, saw fit to transition Majestic to her heavenly home on Thursday, October 27, 2022 and she was surrounded by her loved ones at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Velvon & Iris Laurent; husband, Clarence Hegger; brothers, Lincoln Laurent, Clement Laurent, Nathan Laurent, and Lonis Laurent; sisters, Susie Mae Augustine, Naomi Kyle, Joyce Dobison, and Velma Wells.
