Maj. Paul C. Hockett US Army Ret. went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2023 at the age of 69.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Bernice, and brother-in-law Chris Guillot.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Hockett; sisters: Cathryn Smyth (Michael), Maureen Guillot; children: Sarah McKenney (Brian), Steven Hockett (Stevie Kay), Stephanie Updegraff (Lane), his grandchildren: Liam, Asher, Pippa, Matilda, Millicent, Jack, Frances, Gabriella, Michaela, and Brooks.
He was born on March 8, 1953 in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. In 1978 he married the love of his life, Linda.
A man known for his work ethic, Paul served 20 years in the Army, having deployments in Korea, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and as an advisor in Operation Desert Shield. After retiring from military service, Paul became a world-class salesman earning numerous awards over the years.
Paul was a loving husband and father and absolutely adored his ten grandchildren who knew him as “Opa”. He was known for his generosity, his love of golf, bowling, and travel, his silly jokes, and his quick smile that could light up a room. Paul’s faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior was the light that led him through life, and he and Linda built a legacy of faith for their children and grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed.
