Maggie Lean King, the daughter of Clifford (Buster) and Tynnie (Elnora) Smith, was born September 9, 1925 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Maggie King was as Educator and Counselor for traditional and troubled youth, Certified Nursing Assistant, Licensed Foster Mother, property owner as well as extremely active in her community. She also found time to be a Mother, Aunt, Sister, Grand and Great-grandmother to all that knew her.

Mother King professed a hope in Christ at an early age. She was united in holy matrimony to Master Chief Nathaniel King, Sr. and four children were blessed to their union.

Mother Maggie Lean King’s departure was on her favorite day of the week, Sunday, January 13, 2013, The Lord’s Day. She leaves to mourn: her son, Nathaniel King, Jr. of San Diego, California; three daughters, Patricia King-Moreau and Princess King both of San Diego, California and Jacquelin Cuyler and her husband Gus of Jacksonville, Florida; sisters, Sevella Lewis and Margaret James both of Little Rock, Arkansas; nephew, Eddie Lee King of San Diego, California; thirteen grandchildren, Cassandra King, Daphne Wayans, Shannon Burton, Robert Moreau II, Ke-ona Gonzalez, Joishia Owens, Joe Owens III, Dana Dear, Jennifer Cuyler, Pierre Dear, Antaneiche Burton, Brandy Cuyler and Darrien Cuyler; eight great grandchildren, Diego Moreau, Hassan Gates, Mia Moreau, Hidiyya Gates, Cierra Dear, Joisiah Ratliff, Pierre Dear Jr. and Brielle Cuyler-Leath along with a host of other relatives and many loving friends.
