Magdalena Sanchez Ortiz went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, February 17, 2014, at her home in Fruita, Colorado.
She was born on August 9, 1922, in La Sal, Utah, to parents, Jose Leon Sanchez and Juanita Valdez. She married Partricio Garcia in 1939, (he passed away in 1972), they had seven children together: Juanita Puls of Kingman, Airzona, Lilia (Tom) Dowe of Kingman, Airzona, Leonore (Ruben) Silva of Fruita, Colorado, Robert Garcia of Grand Junction, Rebeca (Dennis) Lamb of Fruita, Colorado, Kathie Rodriquez of Grand Junction, Colorado, Pamela Maestas of Fruita, Colorado, thirteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
On May 21, 1999, she married Philip Ortiz, from Salt Lake City, Utah. They moved to Utah and lived there for four years before moving to Fruita, Colorado.
She is survived by all of her children, thirteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by: two grandchildren, Tonya Dowe of Kingman, Arizona and Cisco Serrano, of Fruita, Colorado, her parents, and husbands, Patricio Garcia and Philip Ortiz.
