Mae Therese Briggs, 93, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 3, 2022 at East Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mae was born on May 27, 1928 in Chicago to the late Eugene Gadbois and Zella (Chouinard) Gadbois. She married Carleton H. Briggs on September 18, 1947, in Chicago, he passed on September 12, 2012 after 63 years of marriage.
Surviving are her five sons, Blaine (Rodora) Briggs, Steven (Nanceen) Briggs, Charles Briggs, Michael (Vickey Gay) Briggs and David Briggs; also surviving are 13 grandchildren, many great grand and great great grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her brother Kenny Gadbois.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carleton, two brothers Lloyd Gadbois and Eugene Gadbois.
Mae was a loving wife, homemaker, mother, and grandma. She enjoyed ballroom dancing and was a huge Chicago Cubs fan. Her loving family was everything to her.
