Mae Guthrie Parcell, 74, of 808 Highland Ridge, Martinsville, VA died Monday, April 19, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville/Henry County. She was born on October 5, 1935 at Cascade, VA to the late Charlie Jacob Guthrie and Alie Dora Elizabeth Guthrie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Guthrie, Buck Guthrie and Buddy Guthrie. Mrs. Parcell worked at E. I. DuPont, Inc. for 37 years. She was a member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church where she served as a pre-school Sunday school teacher. Surviving are her husband of over 54 years, Melvin W.
