Mae Brown Mears, 87, of Glen Burnie, passed away on May 1, 2018 at Somerford Place in Annapolis. She was born in Melfa, Virginia, seventh out of 12 children. A farmer’s daughter, she worked at a young age on the farm where she cultivated a strong work ethic. She graduated from Central High School in 1946. After graduation, she married the love of her life, Walter Gordon Mears on September 21, 1947. Mae worked in retail for 25 years at her daughter’s business, Shoreline Seafood.
