Madge Louise Lewis, 89
Okeechobee – Madge Louise Lewis died on April 8, 2021. She was born December 24, 1931, in Hamilton, Ohio to Raymond and Marion (Rothbaum) Linn. A resident of Okeechobee since 1969, she was the first woman electrical contractor in the United States. She was appointed by Governor Graham to the State Licensing Board and she served for many years. She owned and operated Florida Wiring with her husband.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jim Jarrard; son, Daryl Lewis (Debra), all of Okeechobee; daughters, Lin Brady (Mike), of Boca Raton and Michelle Nord (Mike), of Edgewater; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
