Madge DeWees passed away September 21, 2008 at her home.
Madge was born December 6, 1936, in Francesville, IN to the late William and Ruth (Burson) Teide. She was a lifetime resident of this area and a 1955 graduate of Rensselaer High School. On February 26, 1956, in Rensselaer, Madge married Dean DeWees who survives.
Madge had a talent for cooking and was a prep cook at the City Office & Pub. For 13 years she was the baker for the Rensselaer Central Schools. She also had worked at the Huddle Inn and various other restaurants in Rensselaer.
Madge was a former employee of Northway Products and the A&P grocery. She was a member of the Curtis Creek Country Club. Along with her husband Dean,
Madge is survived by 3 sons, Greg (Jane) DeWees, Pewaukee, WI; Brad (Jan) DeWees, West Lafayette, IN; and Glenn DeWees, Rensselaer; a granddaughter, Kelsey DeWees, 2 sisters, Mary (Joe) Falvo, Calumet City, IL and Shirley Dewees Rensselaer, and a brother, Merle Tiede, Greenfield, IN. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeff, 3 sisters and 7 brothers.
