Madeline Amarone Mondrone, 84, a resident of Mary Wade Home, 118 Clinton Ave., New Haven passed away there on April 22, 2011. A former resident of Woodbridge, she was the widow of Francis (Frank) M. Mondrone. Mrs. Mondrone was born in New Haven on June 16, 1926, daughter of the late Andrew and Josephine Nazzario Amarone. Prior to her retirement, she worked in the office at Standard Tool & Die for more than 20 years. The focus of her life was on her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by one son, Ben (Harlin) Mondrone of Middlebury; one daughter, Barbara (James) Waterman of Plantsville; a brother, Pasquale Amarone of Hamden; six sisters, Lucille Beletsky of Waterford, Stella Muzzi of Ludlow, MA., Fannie Testa of Hamden, Millie Anastasio, Rae Doebrick and Pamela Follo, all of East Haven; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by five brothers, Andrew J., Joseph, Nicholas, Benny & John Amarone and two sisters, Caroline Amarone and Antoinette Poleshek.
